Sorry if I am missing something obvious obvious here, but as far as I
can see, Ubuntu already has this "tg3" driver, so no need to install
it ! At least current Dapper has it, don't know about Breezy. But Dapper
is only 4 weeks away so worth waiting a bit for it.

Really? only 4 weeks? Anyhow as I said in my last email. I did install
an old nic card. When Dapper is out, I will remove it and use the
on-board one.
