AMD64 and Ubuntu/Kubuntu 6.06 Beta 2

I hope that this is the correct list for the following report.

ubuntu-6.06-beta2-live-amd64.iso (and the kubuntu equivalent) fails to start correctly in the following environment:
AMD 3200+
ATI Radeon X700 graphic card
ViewSonic VP191s Display.
The symptoms are no signal to the display after attempting to enter a graphics mode: initial text is fine.

This was also the case with 5.10 in the i386 releases, but that has now been fixed in 6.06 and all is well.

This note is just intended as a beta report and not as a personal problem.

Regards

Peter HB
