I'd never actually used it, though I had noted that the last time I added a
shell, that's exactly what happened. Whether all shells add themselves to
the menus, I don't know.

Note for the confused here: The "Debian menu" only appears in GNOME/KDE
if you have the "menu" package installed, which isn't part of
ubuntu-desktop, so isn't installed by default.
