Hi all,

I have ubuntu running on my home PC, I have the live dapper CD running on
my work XP laptop with a persistent 1GB memory stick (works a dream)

I have samba running for file sharing. I am writting some Python code on
my PC and would like to be able to sync between my PC and laptop so I can
code in my lunch hour, sync and code at home :)

Can anyone suggest a syncing app to help with this or is it a case of
writting a Python app from scratch ?

You could try Unison ( http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/unison/
). I've never used it on a Linux<->Windows way, but it works
wonderfully at least Linux<->Linux. It is available in Ubuntu's
repositories, too.

Thank you for that, it looks very promissing. Just a point my XP laptop runs
just like a Dapper laptop with the live CD & memory stick, just a bit slow.
All development is 100% linux :)
