Well... it's not the end of the world if you can't get it to work. Okay,
so he goes back to Windows. That's unfortunate, but not a catastrophe.

I don't know how to get a webcam working with Yahoo, but if you can't
find one, give him a dual-boot system and let him use Windows for the
webcam. With luck, he'll forget about then webcam and start using Linux.
