Whatever the solution to the re-install, upgrade, etc etc, you will beI have both an image and a tarball stored on my server.
aware that there there is no substitute for a good backup of data, and
also perhaps, of configuration files also. A test of the backup to
verify it works as you expect, is just as important.
Other than the known bug in the newer gnome which apparently hoses some
nic's, the install was ok. Now I just have to restore all of my email
and bookmarks, etc., and I'll be fully up and running again.
