got this problem fixed on FC5_64 but unfortunately I forgot its
remendy.
Do you have either the gxine or mplayer plugins installed? (type in
"about:plugins") I was encountering constant and frequent spontaneous
crashes with these plugins installed, even on pages with no
audio/video content. I never determined exactly which one of these was
the culprit, but removing them both solved the problem.
At the moment,
I use the vlc plugin, which works fine.
FWIW, I am running ubuntu on a 686 system.
