Sure; same machine even! OK, will do.

All of these lines were preceded by "Aug 2 09:34:31 localhost
kernel:". I don't know what _that_ means; it sure doesn't reflect
real time!

Maybe it's the time in GMT! :)

Except that it doesn't change across the long delays.

'localhost' is the name of the machine, so
that when you have logs from lots of computers you can tell which one it
came from.

Heh, not very descriptive, eh? We'll not be able to distinguish the
logs if they all say 'localhost!'

'kernel' is the name of the program/service that generated the
message.
