Connecting to a Cisco router via console port.

Hello,
Our University now are using Dapper, (Thanks to my promotional cheerleading
effort!)
And, alot of people (CIsco students) are asking how to connect to a console
port, and console port via USB, console port (ttyS1) is easy using minicom,
but they have console (SUA) to USB adapters which I can't connect. Any
idea?
