Hmmm, maybe simply because nobody else experiences it ? I just updated
Edgy again, before replying.. just in case ;-) but it still works...

Worst case scenario, you could just wait for the final release, which
is only in 5 weeks. Nothing really exciting is happening in Edgy
anymore, Gnome has been released, Edgy itself is frozen, so you aren't
missing much anyway.
