Re: Screen resoluton

Matt
I cannot get the command line"sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf" to do anything
Now I have lost the tool bar at the top of the screen with all the links to do any Admin adjustments, setup the desktop, and/or open any Applications.
All there is now is a link to Firefox and a link on the right to exit the system.
Any suggestions on how to regain the original Ubantu desktop screen and edit the xorg.conf file?

thanks from Tom ( a green newbie who is still stuck in VGA mode)

Also while you are looking at the conf file make sure it is not using the VGA driver

Driver "vga"

If this is the case then your video card driver hasnt installed properly
