Evolution/file attachments

Dapper 6.06 (2.6.15.26) / Evolution 2.6.1
If an office document is attached to an email, double-clicking attempts
to open open office with it, but I get a dialog that says the file does
not exist. I have to physically save the file before I can view it. Is
this a *feature* with evolution?
