Re: USplash Removal Part Deux

This is the long way of asking.: Besides uninstalling the usplash
package, is there anything else one needs to do before they restart
their computer?

And one more question.: Is there any particular reason so much of
Usplash is undocumented (and how might that change)?
Errr... I simply removed the "splash" command-line option for the
kernel in /boot/grub/grub.conf.
If anyone ever writes a book solely devoted to GRUB, I'll be the first
to buy it.

I don't hesitate to buy Linux Books :-)

Thanks.

I'm aware of stuff online. But I'm in need of a book. Especially since I
often find myself unable to get online if I can't access Linux (and
therefore the Internet).

A number of the books I own discuss GRUB but they're umpteen page books
that cover everything. I'd be thrilled if Reilly's ever came out with a
"GRUB Pocket Guide".

In the meantime I took a look at the GNU site (you linked to it above)
again and decided to download and print the PDF for the GRUB manual (all
98 pages of it). I've got a binder I can use for it. It's probably
still more than I want, but I figured what the hey. I rarely print
anyway. :-)
