Someone recommend a UPS that works with Ubuntu?
I had that same question a number of months back. So I did some research
and found that (no surprise here) APC had the best Linux support. And as
has been pointed out, there are programs to control/monitor APC UPS' in
the Ubuntu archive (actually, I've seen them in other archives as well).
Since APC is the biggest player in the UPS market, I'm not surprised.
I bought an APC Back-UPS RS, 800VA. I've yet to put it to the test
though. We've not had any power outages (yet).
