I know this may sound crazy, but have you tried typing in "rm -f \" then
pressing the tab button? This will (at least it does in my
configuration) autocomplete the line when possible. I've had some odd
files show up (strange character encoding that I couldn't replicate on
my keyboard) and doing this worked. However, I doubt that it will work
in your case since rm -rf yyy/ didn't work... but it's a suggestion non
the less.
