Hi, is it possible to default [ubuntu-users] in the subject line for all
emails in the mailing list?
No. It's wrong (specifically, it's wrong because that takes up 17
characters on my message display - so that window has to be wider for me to
be able to read the significant part of the subject).
I don't want to be insulting, but you've demonstrated four significant
errors in posting this message already, and if you can't properly post, how
can you think you know the right way for a mailing list to work? Please:
_never_ "Reply" to a post when you want to start a new thread, and when you
do start a new thread, _always_ give it a subject, don't top-post, and
finally, if you post a message once, then realize you did something wrong
(or just don't immediately see it), don't just post it again.
Finally, you get much more polite and intelligent response by asking how to
get the results you want [ie, "how can I filter the 'ubuntu-user' messages
using Evolution"] rather than asking everybody else to change to accomodate
you.
