skip checking VFAT partitions.
I believe it's the last option in the line in question.
A relevant line from my /etc/fstab file is:
UUID=42D2-898B /media/data vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0
0
(Line may wrap)
Change the last number (probably 1) in the line referencing your drive
to a 0 and everything should be hunky-dory.
