dd if=/dev/disktocopyfrom of=/dev/disktocopyto
if = input file
of = output file
and in unix, everything is a file.
And a little man dd might help also

I wouldn't mind using DD, I am just not sure about the commands. I don't
want to compress the image, I want to copy it directly to an iMac attached
in Firewire Target mode. Can you give me an example command to do this?
