gpg-agent and kmail (ubuntu-gnome desktop)

I've been using ubuntu-gnome desktop but I like kmail!

I want to use gpg but the problem is that I can't get kmail to use gpg-agent!


kmail 3.5.2 says:
"gpg-agent was found, but does not appear to be running"

I have followed the KDE site instructions step by step but nothing helps.

Any help on using gpg on kmail in ubuntu 6.06?
