Is there any way to get a Mirosoft Natural Pro keyboards multimedia keys
(FWD,REV etc.) to work in Exaile or Amarok under Gnome on Feisty Fawn?
They work OK in Amarok in KDE but not in Gnome, I have Googled for this
but have not been able to find a working solution yet.
Any help appreciated.

I haven't tried this myself, but perhaps the "xbindkeys" utility would
help.

See

http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_multimedia_keyboard

for a "howto" .

xbindkeys is available from the universe repository.
