activate Alt to allow Alt+numPad write ASCII chars

Hello,

I am using Ubuntu 7.04 - Feisty with an English keyboard layout.

I need to write ASCII characters because I am Spanish and sometimes I need
to use 'egne' char.

My keyboard is a DELL model SK-8115

Can somebody tell me what configuration I need to use to allow this
functionality?

Please, do a reply to all to get a reply easier since I have this email
account a little mess.

Thanks in advance. --
