problems between X11 and QT on radeon X1400 ???

Hi,
I switched last week to a DELL Inspiron 9400 with ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
graphics card. On my previous system I was also running Feisty Fawn and so I
reinstalled Feisty using the exact same repos and packages. I use the
server-xorg-fglrx driver, since the ati driver does not work with this card.
The switch went OK but now I have a problem with code development in a grpahic
program I make. It ran fine on the old PC but on the new PC I have lots of
following errors which make my application crash.
W: X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2

I cannot find anything on the web, so has anyone an idea.
