Exactly. I'm sure if they made a performance type card, we'd get good
drivers for it.
True. Hopefully ATI will release open source drivers as promised
(http://enterpriselinuxlog.blogs.techtarget.com/2007/05/09/amd-will-deliver-open-graphics-drivers/).
