restart print manager

Hi,

I have a problem with printing. Everything is set up correctly and it
prints fine, but sometimes it doesn't.

When it does not work, I have no idea what happens as I don't see any
error dialog or something like that. The job does not show up on the
printer queue and I think the job is not even sent to printer. If I want
to check the printer properties, the Paper and the Advanced tabs don't
show up correctly, they show up empty. The only way to fix it is to
restart the entire system.

Is there a way to restart the print manager (if there is one)?

I usually print from Firefox and I use Network Printer - UNIX Printer (LPD).

Thanks a lot,
Ray
