Great idea... let me rephrase the question
Is it possible to/ re-create /or reset the Ubuntu-desktop to the original default
settings via the command line ?
Can you explain how ?
The desktop currently only has 2 folder and 1 disk icon displayed and
the mouse pointer.
clicking various combinations of the mouse buttons has no effect.

My tool bar/application/menu panel has vanished.
Why not create a new one?
