This has been a bug opened on OOo for over two years. Someday they
may actually do this. I have already added a new bug every year but
maybe the more people that go to OOo and file reports the faster this
will get done.

BTW: (Ubuntu)OOo 2.2 plays sound files out of the box, (OpenOffice)OOo
2.2.0 and 2.2.1RC2 does not on linux. Use (O)OOo for proper wizard
functions, use (U)OOo to play sound files in presentations... Hopefully
they will get it together some day :-)
