I recently downloaded Ubuntu 7.04 and I have installed it on my laptop.
After installing Ubuntu I had to reboot the system in order to complete the
installation.
At this point the computer started booting up, I was able to see Ubuntu logo but
after this it shows a black screen and that's about it. The computer practically
hangs at that point and I have to manually reset the computer. I've tried a
couple of times to boot up again but the result is the same.
Here are my computer specs:

Any ideas will be much appreciated!!!
Thank you

Ctrl Alt F1 keys all at the same time. This should take you to a screen
containing info on how the boot process is proceeding. This should give
some clues about any problems and is a place to start. Transcribe some
of the last lines on that screen ( as much as you can) especially
looking for any error messages.
Perhaps someone will recognize any problem and help make progress in
getting Ubuntu running.
