As well as the cups-pdf and ps2pdf suggestions already suggested, I
prefer to use kprinter as my Postscrip Print Command" (assuming KDE is
installed). As well as adding the ability to print to pdf, this also
allows me to customize all printer options on each print job.
(Resolution, paper tray, duplexing, etc)
