ubuntu samba, windows network - username password issues

Hi all,

I have recently, with a lot of fiddling/searching forums etc., managed to
get my windows xp and ubuntu 7.04 computers to communicate with each other
over a network.
Both computers can open each other's shared folders/directories, with the
expected read/write access permissions.

My only question is this:
Connecting to my ubuntu computer from windows requires the samba user name
and password that I set up with smbpasswd.
Is there any way to access Ubuntu shares without this password? -since I use
these computers at home, I really don't need the protection of having a
password, and it's just an extra annoyance to type it in.

Thanks
