I have wanted to be able to print a web page to a multipage pdf file. I
know if I have a document open in Open Office, I can directly generate a
PDF, but I have been unable to find a way to do so from Firefox. Anyone
have any insights they'd care to share?
Hi Patton,
As I recall this function was set up by default in earlier versions of
Ubuntu, but for whatever reason was removed in Feisty. However, you can
install the cups-pdf package. If you then try to add a printer from
Administration/Printers, you'll see an option to install a virtual PDF
printer. Select Generic, Postscript-Color, and you're flying.
Hope this helps.
Darryl
I wanted. I've installed but not tested yet. I've also made note of
the ps2pdf route. Though it is two steps (one is always better than
two) it may be good when the cups printer does not give expected results.
I also appreciated some of the other thoughts. Though I will not
pursue them, it is always helpful to expand my thinking!
Thanks again.
