Any disadvantage to using 6.06LTS for a VMware server?

Hi,

I am just setting up a new VMware server.. Typically I use CentOS on my
servers but since switching to Ubuntu 7.04 on my desktop a few months
ago now I have been VERY impressed with it so I am looking at using
Ubuntu for this new machine.. Also Ubuntu 6.06 is on the list of VMware
supported OS's and 6.06 is appealing because its supported for a long time..

but..

I have seen that many have VMware running on 7.04 as well..

What advantage if any is there to using 7.04 over 6.06??

Are there any apt repositories that can be used to install VMware server
making the install a "no brainer"?

TIA
