Well, /home _is_ a common partition already, isn't it? It'd be
perfectly fine to add another directory alongside your home(s).
I don't want to share "sda3" as common home. I already tried that
before.
different distros overwrite software settings which is troublesome.
One trick would be to use different user names (= different home dir
names), but same uid on different OSs.
