similar vein, one website automatically rejects the (correct) login name

Any workarounds for this sort of thing? I have Firefox, Opera, and
Navigator, and they all encounter the same problem

Have you considered konqueror ?
I know of a website, that does exactly the same on FF, Opera etc... but
works on Konqueror & ies4Linux. I've notified the webmaster but as all
the brain dead webmasters out there, he doesn't seem to care and btw this is
a corporate website I am talking out.

Cheers.

oh woops, sorry about the HTML.

I tried konqueror, but it didnt help much (on some sites, the IE thing
works, and on some, it doesnt), especially when compared to Ies4linux.

As you may know, Ies4linux is just a program that goes out and downloads
IE. Konqueror doesnt have much of any IE functions (except it can fool
the website into thinking your running IE, however there are some sites
that cant be 'fooled' by konqueror, if you get what im saying)

i tried staffkit.com (which works only on IE) with konqueror in 'IE
mode' (i guess you could call it that) and it worked as though i was
running konqueror with out the IE identification. I tried IEs4linux and
the site worked like a dream.
