System or HD imaging

Is there a way to image an Ubuntu system?

I'm looking for something like Ghost on Windows ( sorry for the bad word
). I tried using Mondo ( mondo rescue ) but it's broken.

Here's what I would like it to do:

1. Backup to CD / DVD
1. more then 1 if needed
2. Boot from the CD / DVD
3. Restore a working system
4. Maybe restore to a drive of a different size

Some of the imaging software I've looked at require a server side setup.
I don't want that. I need the final image on a CD or DVD. This should
work on Dapper, Feisty and Gutsy.
