There seem to be some issues with Realtek HD Audio. You will have to research on the forums for a solution/ workaround. I have Audigy2, which works perfectly.

I have another question, I ran the Live CD of Ubuntu 7.04 on my system and everything seem to work fine except for one thing. When I tried to open the Examples and tried playing OGG files I dont have any sounds.--
Is this normal or will it be like this if I install Ubuntu on my PC?
I'm using an on-board Realtek HD Audio on a MSI K9-Neo (MS-7260) mobo.
This is the first time I will run Ubuntu on my PC.
BTW, thanks for the tip deepak.
Thank you!

The best idea is to use the envy script
(http://www.albertomilone.com/nvidia_scripts1.html). It'll fetch
the latest driver and configure your display too.
I am on 1440x900, and have no issues.

I think it would be better to say it works best with
resolutions that
are a standard 4:3 ratio, such as 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768,
1280x960
(which is what I use), etc.
