think I should try hdc instead of hda?

I think you should try /dev/cdrom, if it's there. The udev scripts
should link that to whatever device they find an optical drive on. If
you don't have the /dev/cdrom, that might be another problem entirely.

How would the finished line look in fstab? I'm a n00b re fstab 4 sure. Most
things I can figure out.
