Re: Orphaned files

Hi Alex,

I have added a more recent backup to the partition but there is still
plenty of room on it. Will I have overwritten the lost files? I backup
by simply copying files to the backup partition - they are not
compressed. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello World,

After a self inflicted foul up I re-installed Feisty. I the 'dragged
and dropped' the folder containing my work files from the backup
partition onto the new desktop. The folder came but the files didn't.
They are now marooned and, as the folder is not there, I cannot see them
or get at them. Can anyone advise a rescue please.

Can you still access your backup copy?

Alex
