mencoder sound messed up with xvid multi pass

Having a bit of a nightmare archiving stuff. My latest attempt is
using mencoder and xvid. Seems to work OK for single pass but with
multi pass audio really messed up. Seemt to have randon buzzing
werling sounds.

Using Ubuntu feisty with medibuntu sources.
