Hello,
I just installed ubuntu and I am trying to access the internet with
firefox. I manage to access several sites but others I cannot.
For example I manage to access google but cannot load pages like Yahoo and
CNN.
I already set the DNS servers and disabled ipv6 on my firefox browser. Also
tried to reduce the MTU from 1500 to 1492 as someone suggested in the
mailing list.
Is there something else that can be done to try solving the problem?
Thanks,
Yair
Hi Yair
Are you using a proxy or a direct connection to the net? You can get similar
via some proxies as some will block certain sites and some sites will block
certain ip ranges which a given proxy may fall into. If using a proxy, maybe
worth trying another one
