I have installed xubuntu on a 128MB RAM machine. Unfortunately, it is
swapping *a lot*, right after log-in.
So even though they state that the system requirements is 128MB RAM,
that does not work very well.
Hence, I guess there is not much hope for running a plain vanilla
Ubuntu of any kind with that little RAM. One could probably tweak
things though..?
I think there has been some discussion on some xubuntu-mailing-list
somewhere. Might be worth a search, for those who are interested.

it maxed out?
Not sure actually, will check that out. That would probably be a good option.
(That machine is not my main machine so to speak, it would just be fun
to get it up and running.)
Will also check Ubuntu Lite out, thanks Liam.
