Since you posted again, you must have pulled the wrong
one. Try the
black one with the square end. It's usually in the back of
the case
next to a fan grill. It's the "silencer cable", because not
only does
it make email go quiet, but the case stops making all those
annoying fan
noises when you pull it out.
