You should have a cable on the back of your computer that looks like
either a phone cable or an oversized phone cable. If you pinch the tab
then pull the cable out of the case, you should no longer get all the
emails from Ubuntu.

Since you posted again, you must have pulled the wrong one. Try the
black one with the square end. It's usually in the back of the case
next to a fan grill. It's the "silencer cable", because not only does
it make email go quiet, but the case stops making all those annoying fan
noises when you pull it out.
I recommend going to the local power station, blow it up in a blaze of
glory, thus ending the suffering of thousands who suffer at the sound of
the fans... and Ubuntu mails.
