Gutsy Install/gParted issues?

Is anyone else seeing problems when trying to install Gutsy? I'm
installing the AMD64 version, but the same issue happened with the
i386 version. I first tried the usual Live install route, didn't work
as I have an ATI card and it would just sit there recycling through
the login screen, so I'm now using the default graphics version.

I wanted a clean install, and the beta actually, as far as I know,
forces you to format /boot and /, however when I first used it it hung
at the 5% mark, while creating the file system, doesn't go any
further. I eventually killed it, and of course, discovered I could no
longer boot my system into Feisty.

No big deal, I was backed up anyway. Since then I have deleted all my
partitions, fdisked the drive, manually created all my partitions, run
e2fsck on /boot to make sure it's clean and reiserfsck on my / and
/home partitions.

However, the install still hangs during the partitioning phase (amd64
or i386 install, same thing) since it insists on formatting / and
/boot, and if I use the Partition Editor that comes with Gutsy it
crashes after every step - and yes, I have let the bugreporting thing
send in a report.

Anyone else run into any of this? It's be nice to know I'm not alone
in this.....
