Hi All,
I am brand new in Linux. I downloaded Untubu 7.04 and tried to install
in my Toshiba R15-S822.
I theck the integrity of the data and it is ok. When I boot from the CD
(with F2) it reads the unit, and after a while (5 secs) it stars with
Windows XP.
Am I doing something wrong?
Best regards,
Jaime
Hi Jaime
One of two reasons comes to mind at the moment
1) You may have burnt the cd by simply burning the iso file straight to it.
That wont make it bootable. You need to tell your burning software you're
burning an iso
2) if you burnt the iso properperly maybe your bios isn't setup to boot from
the cd drive in which case you'll need to go into your bios and set that up.
How did you burn you ubuntu cd? And what software did you use. Under windows
I'd use either nero or deepburner to burn iso's. The later being free and the
first oft bundled with drives for windows
