emacs v22-gtk and ispell-mode fails on the fly

Hi

I installed GG and use emacs (v22, gtk) for editing. I use flyspell-mode for spelling, but the spelling does no longer work on the fly, while it does work when I use flyspell-buffer. Can someone give me a hint?
