recognized the wireless connection as wired?Carl, please answer Mario's question: how do you determine that it
When I clicked the manager icon in the upper right it shows the DLink
120R as a wired connection. But an Obertron(sp?) PCMIA is seen as
wireless and works.
However the Dlink worked when tested on a P4 using SuSE so it could
still be either a config error, most likely, or the hardware, less
likely.
I am quite betwixt and between here.
Great, now we're getting somewhere. Let's forget, for a while, the
abstract discussion about interfaces names (sorry, guys ;)).
Can you please copy and paste the contents of the file
/etc/network/interfaces here? This is probably some mistake there.
Also, Carl can you test if booting the LiveCD makes it work properly
out of the box?
