fonts in firefox

hello to you all,
the fonts in my mozilla browser are all very small (screen resolution is
1280x1024 - the only one I can have with my ati card) ... I tried to change
the default fonts in preferences and in about:config, but it doesn't work.
Is there any other solution...hm?
