Under options it displays the Webcam as /dev/video0 but
testing it shows only a black screen !!

From another PC it is seen that my system's Skype has a cam !!!

What do I need to check and what do I need to change ???

Please have a look at the skype forum. As this is a beta, many users a
giving comments on webcam, and related problems. You should receive more
help that here maybe.
