Re: Upgrading from SUSE

Go to openSUSE 10.2, i used Ubuntu, now i just want openSUSE, it's perfect!
:D

Ubuntu is unstable, but recognize a lot of wireless devices, and the
community is great. But openSUSE is really better! ;)

Hi Carl,

FWIW, SUSE 10.0 has just been end-of-lifed--no more updates.

I run both Ubuntu and OpenSuSE and both run fine on laptops, at least for
me.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Reburn the ISO. BTW 10.0 SuSE is still alive and kicking with updates.
( would not use 10.3 on a laptop. I use Feisty on my Sony Viao no
problems.
Gutsy however was a little too beta for my liking.

First off let me say that Ubuntu ROCKS! I have it on my personal

I also have a 2nd laptop with SUSE 9.2 on it that I want to change
over to Ubuntu. I downloaded the 7.10 Live CD and tried to load it but
the system just ignores it. I have loaded other systems on this
computer from CD's before with no issues. The bios is set to boot
from the CD first. Is there anyway I can get it to boot from the
Ubuntu 7.10 Live CD?
