Possibly, it depends on the amount of room, IMO.
How about a /swap partition?
Ubuntu is on /dev/hda2
swap is on /dev/hdb1
Why? IIRC first partition is faster to find for head seeks, but
actually the effective reason is that I have 3 Linux installs
on /deb/hdb, so putting the swap partition there made more sense given
that drive is much larger in size.
Would it make any difference if it was a logical or extended partition?
I have two installs on logical partitions in the extended partition.
